Newly put into operation in November 2022, Amanda Cruise is a harmonious blend of modern and classic styles, providing a luxury boutique experience in Halong Bay.
 
Amanda Cruise includes 25 well-furnished cabins located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd decks. All come with large glass windows or private balconies and all needed amenities such as a 32" flat screen TV, air-conditioning, safebox, minibar, writing desk & reading lamp, telephone, bathrooms with shower or bathtub, etc. Rooms are spacious at 20 to 60sqm. Connecting cabins are available, very suitable for small groups or families with children.

Day 1: Hanoi - Tuan Chau - Halong
Morning

Shuttle bus picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter (if booking with our service). Arrive Tuan Chau Marina by noon. Embark Amanda Cruise with a warm welcome from staff with welcome drink and cold towel. Check in your cabin before savoring a hearty lunch in the restaurant while the vessel cruises through hundreds of limestone islands and islets of Halong bay.

Afternoon

The cruise drops the first anchor at Luon Cave where you will kayak or take a sampan boat to get through the cave and admire the limestone mountains. Later, transferred by tender to visit Titop Island with hiking and swimming activities. Back onboard at around 17:30 and participate in Sunset party & cooking class with traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. Evening

Morning

Get up early to watch the sunrise, join Taichi class and enjoy breakfast before the day boat picks you up to explore Lan Ha Bay - the extension part of Halong Bay. Arrive at Dark-Bright Cave, you have around 1 hour and 1 half for kayaking in this peaceful area. Then, come back to the day boat and have lunch.

Afternoon

The day boat progresses to Ba Trai Dao Beach. You can sunbathe on the white sandy beach or immerse in the crystal clear water of Lan Ha Bay. Then, visit a Pearl Farm Exhibition Center and Museum to see how local people raise and harvest pearls on the bay. Back to Amanda Cruise to join the cruise with new passengers. Free time until dinner.

Evening

Savor a brand new dinner in the restaurant. Then time for socializing with new passengers, ordering drinks at the bar, fishing squid, or relaxing in the room. Overnight onboard.

Cruising Policy
  • Check in on board: 12:00 PM

  • Return Hanoi: 3:00 PM
  • The FOC rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
  • Children from 4 - under 11 will pay an extra 75% of adult rate. 
  • Children aged 11 and above must pay full fare as an adult.
  • Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of $35 per person per night applies for travel date on 24/12 and 31/12 and $15 per person per night on Lunar New Year (28, 29, 30, 31/1 and 1 Feb 2025).
  • On the second day, you will travel on a day boat and do not have access to the mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon (for 3 days/2 nights itinerary)

Dear Bauke, Yes, we do offer transfer from Hanoi to Halong. You can consider a sharing bus or private car. For Amanda Cruise, it is US$ 10/person for shuttle bus or US$ 100/private sedan car. Can you consider Hera Grand Cruise from the same company that is available for 3 days 2 nights trip on your travel date? For the transfer to the airport, we have 2 following options for you:

- Shuttle bus Halong - Hanoi & connecting car to the airport: US$ 40 for 2 persons => You can reach the airport at around 16:00 - 16:30

The option with extra bed costs less than 2 cabins because the 3rd person will need to pay for a single cabin if taking a separate one. You can take a taxi from Haiphong to get to the cruise dock for more convenience. On the way from Halong to Hanoi, you can book our one-way shuttle bus at the cost of US$10/pax/way. Three of us are planning a Halong Bay trip for 4-5 Jan 2024. I had some question for the same: 1. How crowded will the attractions be? Can it hamper our experience in any way? 2. Sadly I am allergic to shelled sea-food, so even pastes and sauces can trigger a reaction. Would it be possible to have food options for me? 3. We'll most likely need to catch our flight the same day after the cruise, so is there a restriction for the amount of luggage we can carry on-board? If there is, is there something to help us out?

But you can choose another cruise to Lan Ha Bay instead, where is less touristy to have a better experience. We do not offer a direct bus to the airport, but our van can continue to Hanoi Airport after dropping off guests in the Hanoi Old Quarter. The surcharge for this trip is $10/person and you will reach the airport at 4:00 PM. If you want a private car transfer directly from Halong - Hanoi Airport, please let us know! Is shuttle bus free from hotel in old quarter to Halong Bay pier?

Excellent

Service was good. The staff was friendly and polite. The excursions and activities are plentiful. The cave had too many people at a time yet the view inside was incredible. Would suggest Amanda ruise to my family.

Outstanding

My sister and I had a memorable 2 days on Amanda Cruise. The staff treated us like family. A special thanks to Mr Dan, the best host! We went kayaking and visited Surprise cave. There were a bunch of activities. The cooking class was nice.

We love this trip. Kayaking was fun and the bay was perfectly calm for it. The staff could not do better. Highly recommended!

My mother and I booked 1 night on Amanda. The staff was very kind and took good care of us. The manager was very courteous and dedicated from start to finish. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the trip very much. Thank you!

Good value for money. Amanda's team was excellent. We enjoyed the food, our Junior cabin, and the view. Kayaking was nice. Highly recommended!

We had a nice time on Amanda. The ship was well maintained. Cabin included full amenities. The staff was very hospitable and polite. The cave tour was crowded but worth it.

Halong Bay was magnificent. We stayed for 1 night in Deluxe Cabin. It was clean and neat. Food was yummy.

Our 2-night trip was amazing! The ship was a bit aged yet the service was excellent. The tour includes many activities such as swimming, kayaking through a cave, hiking, visiting a pearl farm, etc. We were on a day trip to Lan Ha bay on day 2 and the beach there was absolutely stunning and private. Food was 10 out of 10 and they did serve vegetarian meals for my girlfriend. Highly recommended!
