Festivals in April
- Hung King Festival (10th Lunar March - 29th April 2023, 18th April 2024): This has been a public holiday since 2007. Hung King Festival is to give gratitude and remember the merits of Hung Kings - the very first founders and kings of Vietnam.
- Reunification Day (30th April): A public holiday to mark the day of Southern Liberation for National Reunification. These days, Vietnamese often hang Vietnam's national flags in front of their house and there are lots of themed decorations on the streets.
- Carnaval Halong (30th April - 1st May): To officially welcome a vibrant travel season of Halong city, Carnaval is usually held on 30/4 - 1/5 yearly but the festive activities will be organized a few days before. Featuring a certain theme each year, Carnaval is a chance for travelers to enjoy the stunning bay view, immerse in seawater, watch the unique stage and street art performances, and feast your eyes with fireworks.
